Every day President Obama is freeing toiling masses from the bonds of wage slavery. An ever growing number of former oil rig, construction, and retail workers, who once toiled under the yoke of capitalist oppression, have now heroically joined with liberated multitudes whose daily wants and needs are provided by the government.

In just three years Obama has emancipated 12 million former wage earners, adding them to the glorious Food Stamp program - that is a victorious 38% increase for a total of 44 million. No longer exploited for their labor, these men and women are free to live a sparse life without the stress of unnecessary choices, or the burden of supporting the decadent consumer society. Those who once were mere cogs in the monstrous capitalist planet-raping machine, now can enjoy a guilt-free life of government dependency.

As impressive as Obama's success has been, there still remain those who are bitterly clinging to self-reliance - a debilitation condition caused by false consciousness, the dark legacy of capitalist propaganda. To those still shackled to a job: do not give up hope! Our progress is unstoppable! Obama has plans for many more regulations and taxes - a tried and true way to beat back the vicious creation of jobs and prosperity in the reactionary private sector.

Nanny of the Month...

This Fourth of July weekend think about what truly represents freedom: Old Glory, the Liberty Bell, and an ice-cold glass of lemonade.

This month's lineup of busybodies includes two regulars: the FDA, which is slapping new, more graphic, possibly counterproductive, warning labels on cigarette packs and the goldfish grabbers on San Francisco's Animal Control and Welfare Commission.

But top dishonors go to the sour bureaucrat who put the squeeze on a group of kids for running a lemonade stand. Sure they were raising money for a worthy cause (pediatric cancer research), but they were doing it without a permit, and that's why they got slapped with a $500 fine.

The episode sparked so much outrage that the county eventually backed off, but this is no isolated incident. Across America, the permit police are cracking down on pint-sized peddlers of liquid freedom.

No Knock Raid

This is what the United States has come to. In order to provide the illusion of safety, our government has crippled our civil liberties, and trashed the Constitution through legislation such as the PATRIOT Act. Senator Barack Obama, when asked if he would vote to repeal the PATRIOT Act said:

"Yes, I would vote to repeal the U.S. Patriot Act, although I would consider replacing that shoddy and dangerous law with a new, carefully crafted proposal that addressed in a much more limited fashion the legitimate needs of law enforcement in combating terrorism (for example, permitting a warrant for the interception of cell phone calls, and not just land-based phones to accommodate changes in technology)"

However, on March 2, 2006, Senator Barack Obama (D-Illinois) voted to re-authorize the PATRIOT Act. In fact only 10 Senators (9 Democrats and one Independent), voted against the PATRIOT Act.  Now President Obama has already extended and expanded the PATRIOT Act, the single most heinous and un-Constitutional piece of legislation ever passed since the Alien & Sedition Acts of 1798.

Why do we as a people allow this to happen? Why do we allow our government to keep us in such fear and maintain such power over us? We are no safer for it, I would contend we are substantially less safe. We certainly are not more free. So why do we continue to allow it? The Police are not our bosses! The government is not our boss! Stand-up! Don't just roll over and do what you are told because a man in a uniform tells you to, do what you know to be right, defend your freedom from the tyranny that seems to be creeping in on our nation. You can start in 2012, by making sure that Barack Obama is a ONE TERM PRESIDENT. We cannot afford sixteen years of George W. Bush politics (Obama being a near clone of Bush, in my opinion). Twelve years is too long already. Protect your liberty, let your representatives know that the PATRIOT Act is un-American and must be repealed, or else WE THE PEOPLE will vote them out of office.

Government should fear the people, the people should not fear the government.
