Steve jobs shares an interesting and entertaining perspective on his return to the helm of Apple Computer in this video clip from Jason Calacanis…
Additionally, Steve Jobs has made the statement that Apple is NOT going into the Search business, but only time will tell. Calacanis thinks he’s lying, my gut tells me Calacanis is right.
Watch carefully in the video below and you will see a thief on a motorcycle nab the purse from a woman walking down the street. But soon after that, the crowd in this Chinese town snaps into action, making it perfectly clear that they won’t be having any of that on their streets… Hilarity ensues.
At one point it even looks as though some one throws a dresser at the criminal! I love it!
There is a new Facebook Scam rapidly spreading. A “Video” claiming to be “The funniest video in the world” is posted on your wall, but when you click on it to watch the video, you are redirected to a Phishing site, which is cleverly designed to look just like it is a part of Facebook, but will attempt to steal your Facebook login credentials. Results for users in the United Kingdom are a bit different than those who click from the U.S., but the end goal seems to be the same. This could be potentially serious. Please watch the video below for details.
As always, beware of what you click on, make sure you know who sent it to you, and always be wary of unknown Facebook apps. Is it really that critical that you “throw a pineapple” at someone or “Superpoke” them? Do you know what these apps are doing or accessing off your profile?
As you have probably heard, the Republican Religious Right is trying to revise history and what kids learn in their text books. This movement is happening most strongly in Texas, where the Texas State Board of Education is making moves to make such appalling decisions as to remove mention of Thomas Jefferson and most of Slavery from history texts all together. Those are only two small examples of the revisionist History the Republicans would have our kids learn (or not learn, as it were).
Although this movement is primarily taking place in Texas right now, it is important that we all take notice and take action to stop the Religious Right. Why? Because the Texas State Board of Education is one of the largest text book purchasers in the Nation, so the decisions they make will almost certainly have very serious ramifications on the entire textbook industry. The Republicans would have us replace Science with God in the class room, creating an entire generation of ignoramuses on par with George W. Bush. If that doesn’t terrify you, then I don’t know what would.
I implore you, to please write not only to your own representative, but take a moment to write or call Texas representatives, and the Texas State Board of Education and tell them that you will not allow them to ruin the education of our children. Do NOT let Texas make such important decisions for our entire country.

Texas threatened to secede from the union in recent years, perhaps we should tell them and Arizona that they are dismissed from the union! We’d be stronger and better without them.
This guy is simply amazing. He is a true artist with the shotgun.
This is by far the best idea I have seen to deal with the problem of all the oil that has been spilled into the Gulf of Mexico. A couple of good ol’ boys came up with an easy, common sense method to clean up the oil, that even the scientists and engineers haven’t yet thought of! Best of all, the solution is green! What could be better? This is simple, plausible, economically viable (cheap), and environmentally friendly! What are we waiting for?

Jen McCreight, of Boobquake fame, gives a really good talk on the genesis of Boobquake, and her view on feminism and modern, young feminists. She seems to be very thoughtful. I feel that young people like this can give us all a lot of hope that perhaps things really are getting better all the time. The video is a bit long, but well worth it.
